Shawn & Danny’s Deadly Adventure from Little Black Bird Productions is a delirious laugh riot infused with heart and smothered in feel good energy.

The production stars Danny Knight (Danny), Shawn Cuthand (Shawn) and Corey Dallas Standing as multiple different characters.

Knight excels at both physical comedy and mannerisms and is imbued with an energy that is is both silly and relatable.
Cuthand is perfectly cast as the sidekick who goes along with Knight’s characters schemes but only wants to happy first and foremost. Cutland conveys heart amongst the mad cap comic energy that is on full display.
Standing is able to embody each character with distinction from the Open Mic manager to Earl the building nuisance to Danny’s Uncle. Standing provides an excellent foil to Knight and Cutland’s characters and helps ground this bizarre tale as much as it be grounded.
Shawn & Danny’s Deadly Adventure is a wonderful break allowing the audience to sidestep into a silly world full of fun, revelry, good times and magic.

Shawn & Danny’s Deadly Adventure is running at The Refinery from July 31-August 9 2025 at the Saskatoon Fringe Festival in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. Tickets can be bought online here, the box office or the venue itself.
Knight and Cuthand star as pseudo versions of themselves who embark on a quest for an indigenous artifact called “The Funnybone” that will propel them to fame and fortune.
