For the last four years, I've been watching films that fall on that year's anniversary, be it ten, twenty or thirty years prior. I do this so I can gauge the cultural aesthetics, themes and zeitgeist that shaped that specific year.  This year, I'm watching films from 2007, 1997 and 1987.

 

I love history and film history is no different.
